Bhotekoshi Flashflood 2026 – Emergency Response
Following the catastrophic flash floods in the Bhote Koshi River on 26 August 2026, which caused significant loss of life and damage to property and infrastructure across Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading, Chitwan, and Gorkha, our founder, Mr. Prem Kumar Khatry, through his company, Ace the Himalaya, contributed NPR 200,000 to the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund. A joint team from Ace the Himalaya and Sambhav Nepal visited the disaster-affected areas of Uttargaya Rural Municipality, Rasuwa District, and provided various relief materials to the affected people.
Hostel Setup
Our focus shifted towards rehabilitation and assessing the post-disaster impacts and needs of the affected people. In response to the loss of homes and caregivers and the disruption of education caused by the floods, Sambhav Nepal supported children in Uttargaya Rural Municipality, Rasuwa District, by providing materials for the hostel setup at Shree Dadhagau Secondary School to accommodate the children and support the continuation of their education.
