Women face systematic discrimination, particularly in rural areas, where religious and cultural tradition, lack of education, and ignorance of the law remains severe impediments to their exercise of basic rights.

Our primary objective is to provide handicraft-related skills to support the efforts of women, to enable them to discover solutions to poverty, rather than imposing solutions.

When communities work together to improve their own lives, the result is a permanent strengthening of the community and renewed hope for the future. For this reason, we promote the principles of Participation, Empowerment and Sustainability. Many women in rural areas are unable to work as often they have manual roles in the fields and attending to live stock, whilst accepting primary responsibility for the house and family without assistance.

Women often don't get the chance of education as they have the daily duty to work in the fields.
